I have just discovered that my fine art
print order buttons on the website aren’t working with PayPal at the
moment. Apologies if this has caused you a problem. To get round the problem
I’m upgrading to custom PayPal buttons, as shown here for Swirling Leaves.
Unfortunately I’ll need to update each one individually which may take a
few days, so in the meantime if the page you want hasn’t got a PayPal
style button please let me know! Friday, October 2

I’ve added a showcase of my latest stock imagery to my photostream over on flickr This has two main advantages over the stock section on my
website. Firstly, it’s a lot quicker to maintain, so I can get a
selection of new work up there just as soon as I’ve processed it and,
more importantly, it’s fully searchable,
unlike the location based index on my site. There are just a couple of hundred images
on there at the moment, a tight selection from the stock shoots I’ve
completed since the last stock update to www.marksunderland.com but I’ll
add a few samples from my archive from time to time as well as publishing new
work, so feel free to browse! http://www.flickr.com/photos/marksunderland Wednesday, September 23

I’ve been investigating MagCloud – the website for producing
print-on-demand magazines. It’s a project started by HP Labs and is
currently still in beta, but looks quite interesting as the magazine production
uses the HP Indigo printer, the same kit used to produce my Blurb books which I’m
very pleased with in terms of print quality. I’m not thinking of going into
magazine production, but I think there could be a few things I could do with
the format. It may provide a more cost-effective way of producing my Artist’s Catalogue
perhaps. In particular, I noticed that a few people have been using the
format to produce calendars, so I thought I’d give it a try, and I’ve
put together a Yorkshire Through The Seasons
2010 Calendar as a start. From what I’ve read so far the
print quality is good, but I’m waiting for the proof to arrive to see
just how good it is before making the calendar available. I’ll
write another post when it arrives! Wednesday, September 2

A preview of a new image from my shoot earlier this week before the rain arrived:
![]() Roseberry Topping, North York Moors, Yorkshire I had a drive up to Roseberry Topping after a visit to Mount Grace Priory on Monday this week, as the evening light was so beautiful. The sun was still relatively high when I shot this at around 8pm, but the crop in the foreground (is that wheat?) just looked lovely. I'll get this on the website in due course - but I have a couple in the frameable card format ready for the show at Guisborough this weekend!

My first series of Moving Water images concentrated on deep earthy colours, so I was keen to find a waterfall subject with different coloured rocks behind the water.
